Vila Pereira da Silva is located between the neighborhoods of Santa Teresa and Laranjeiras in the southern zone of the city, and there is only one entrance into the community from each neighborhood. 

To enter from Santa Teresa, you’ll have to find your way to an old convent called the Centro de Acolida Missionária by heading north on Rua Almirante Alexandrino. The bonde (cable car) line leads here, bus routes 214, 206 and 206B pass this way, and the closest metro stop is “Gloria”.  Once you get to the convent, you will have to go on foot up the pathway that is to the right.  At the top of the steps is the entrance to Vila Pereira da Silva.  Please refer to the first video below for how to arrive to Morrinho from Rua Almirante Alexandrinho.  Actual walking time is about 15 minutes.     

To enter from the community from Laranjeiras, you will have to take Rua Pereira da Silva, which starts with it’s intersection with Rua das Laranjeiras.  The closest metro stop is “Largo do Machado”, and among the busses that passes this way are numbers 180, 184, 422, 498, and 597.  To know that you are heading in the right direction, coming form the east you will pass the Materindade Escola on your right just before Rua Pereira da Silva.  Coming on Rua das Laranjeiras from the west you will pass a Princessa Supermercado on your left just before reaching Rua Pereira da Silva.  From Rua da Laranejeiras, Rua Pereira da Silva only runs north.  The street curves to the left, then turns into a hill.  At the end of the street is the beginning of our community.  Please refer to the second video below for how to arrive to Morrinho once you get to the end of Rua Pereira da Silva.  Actual walking time is about 7 minutes.
