TV Morrinho serves as a center for original, independent, and contracted video productions that derive from the model and are produced by the Morrinho Team. This branch of Project Morrinho started in 2001 soon after Fábio Gavião and Marco Oliveira began working with the Morrinho Team. Since then, TV Morrinho has been contracted by clients such as British Gas Brazil, Casa França-Brasil, the Brazilian Ministry of Health, BHP Billiton, Junior Achievement and Nickelodeon Brazil. A recent TV Morrinho project won a grant from the Ministry of Culture of Brazil, exemplifying the work that this small production company is capable of.
TV Morrinho has also produced numerous independent videos based on stories that have been developed at the Morrinho model. Many of these videos can be viewed at our YouTube channel. In 2008, in conjunction with Gavião Vector Docs, TV Morrinho released a full-length documentary, “Morrinho: God Knows Everything But Is Not a Snitch” which tells the history of Project Morrinho, and how it grew from a child’s game to an internationally recognized organization.
